VIS BRUS
Years of experience in designing and manufacturing, as well as continuous development of tools for shaping brick products, have made VIS a significant partner for a wide range of clients, with the prospect of expanding into wider markets.
An important prerequisite for obtaining a high-quality brick product is, among other things, the correct direction of the clay mass onto the forming tool and achieving uniform clay flow during the forming process. The task of the forming tool is to enable the creation of a brick product without internal stresses in the clay, which are initially invisible but appear during the subsequent drying and firing process in the form of cracks, curvature, or concave/convex surfaces.
VIS d.o.o. was founded in 1992. The founder and owner of the company is Slobodan Dačković, M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, and since then it has remained a family business.
The main activity of the company primarily includes the production of tools for shaping products in the brick industry, the manufacture of press heads of various dimensions and shapes, and more.
When designing and manufacturing tools, it must be kept in mind that each type of clay has different properties, so the design must be adapted to the characteristics of the raw material.
In the entire brick production chain, from clay preparation to the finished product, the forming process is only a small part, but it plays a major role in the economics of production. More and more, tools are being used for the simultaneous production of two or more products, which significantly increases our clients' output, while at the same time such tools put less strain on the press as they allow the extrusion of larger quantities of clay.
During the process of clay mass flowing through the tool under high pressure and speed, significant wear occurs on all elements in contact with the clay. To ensure our tools earn client trust, we embed aluminum oxide ceramic in the most heavily loaded parts. In less-stressed parts, we use high-chromium steels, and also apply hard chrome chemical coatings.
To achieve the highest quality clay flow through our tools, we provide possibilities of external, internal and deep clay guidance, as well as guidance of clay on the cores themselves.
The press head is an element placed between the press and the forming tool. Its task is to balance the movement of clay from the front part of the screw conveyor — which is partially rotational — into a uniform clay movement toward the brick forming tool. The press head must be dimensioned to ensure uniform supply of clay to the die. On all four sides, guides (brakes) are placed to optimally direct the clay toward the inlet part of the die.
